Sky Sports has become the home of the Indian Premier League 2020 in the UK and Ireland. Fox Sports has acquired the rights to the 2020 Indian Premier League, the world’s leading T20 cricket tournament, with LIVE coverage of the competition to be broadcast across Fox Sports and Fox Cricket (available on Foxtel). Defending champions Mumbai Indians had clinched their fourth title with a narrow one-run victory over the Chennai Super Kings in 2019.

IPL 2020 will be played over a two-month period, with the final likely to be played on November 10, 2020.

Pushed forward from its usual April-May calendar due to the COVID-19 pandemic, IPL 2020 had been confirmed to take place in the UAE due to similar concerns.

The Indian Premier League’s schedule is spread across three cities in the UAE – Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.

The IPL has only been held once outside India – the 2009 edition in South Africa – though it had visited the UAE shores for the first half of the 2014 season.

The IPL 2020 schedule confirmed the opening match as Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings.

Eight teams – Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals and Kings XI Punjab – will play each other twice in a round-robin format.

The top four in the points table after 56 league matches of IPL 2020 will then move on to the knockout stages.

The matches, which traditionally start at 8 PM IST, will now begin half-an-hour early, live at 7.30 PM IST, to avoid a late finish as per the IPL 2020 schedule.

There will be no live telecast of Indian Premier League 2020 in Pakistan. Pakistan banned IPL 2020 live coverage in country, the ban comes as a response after Indian broadcaster stopped their T20 League coverage in India. If tournament get broadcast in Pakistan then, Geo Super (Geo TV) is the official broadcasters in Pakistan for the Indian Premier League 2020.

Cricket fans in Bangladesh can watch IPL 13 matches live broadcast on Gazi TV (GTV). Gazi Television which is officially known as GTV is a Bengali language digital cable television. Flow Sports is the popular cricket broadcaster in the Caribbean region, Indian T20 League 2020 feed to be available on Flow Sports in the Caribbean region, as they secured television right for cash-rich Indian Premier League.

Star India win five-year global media rights of IPL – Indian Premier League till 2022. The ‘global media rights’ include the Indian television, digital as well as the overseas broadcast and digital media rights. The global television and digital media rights, except the Indian sub-continent, have been clubbed together and will be available for a period of five years. “The rest of world is grouped into different territories – for each of them, television and digital rights are clubbed together.
There are set to be 10 double-headers, where two matches will be held on the same day. The first fixture on that occasion will begin live at 3.30 PM IST, while the second fixture will begin live at 7.30 PM IST.
